LOOKING LIKE THE VISION: GOD’S TRANSFORMATION PROCESS ~ Speaker GERI SWINGLE
What happens between the time we receive God’s vision for our future and when we actually walk in that vision? God is busy transforming us to “look like the vision.” Often, God must work on equipping us – molding our character, our relationships and our perspective – so that we can take on His God-sized vision. By understanding His transformation process, we can better cooperate with Him, rather than be fearful or discouraged. During this session, Geri will share some of her personal experiences, as well as what she has learned from past and present life coaching clients, about what actually goes on when God is transforming a person to look like the vision He has given to them. Listeners who desire to “put off the old self” and “put on the new self” will be encouraged as they get a better understanding of God’s loving hand as He leads us to our personal promised land.

MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU ~ Guest Speaker ANGELA PARSLEY
There is a myth that sometimes infiltrates the church that makes us think once we become a Christian we are safe from adversity, pain, and heart ache. This could not be further from the truth. It rains on the righteous and unrighteous alike. Scripture is clear about there being trials in this life. The only pain free place is Heaven. The great news is that God has given us great advice on dealing with trials and information as to what we can learn from them and do with them. His grace is always sufficient to get us through. Angela will share from personal experiences of her mostly silent suffering but how God has brought public restoration.

WE’D ALL LIKE TO BE HUMBLE, BUT WHAT IF NOBODY NOTICES? ~ Guest Speaker SHELLEY LEITH
In this talk we return to the foundation of humility that we all need in order to build true Christlike character. Using a scale and different types of mirrors, we explore how our self-esteem is interwoven with pride, false humility and real humility. Then, we delve further into scripture to discover how something I call the “Theology of Mirrors” is the key to living truly, having our eyes focused rightly, and having a strong self-esteem. Humility is a character quality that we can’t develop by working hard at it, since the more you work on being humble the more prideful you get. So we’ll unlock the mystery and figure out how to develop this elusive quality, and we’ll even choose an action step to help us gain the quality that Jesus ranks the most important of all.
